While people of all ages have learned to benefit from tai chi, the forms are extremely beneficial and safe for our aging seniors. The gentle stepping, twisting, turning and stretching motions of Tai Chi improve and restore flexibility, strength, gait and balance as well as reduce the risk of falling. Tai Chi also creates a state of moving meditation that restores and calms the mind for those who maybe struggling with the emotional pressures of depression, anxiety or panic. While tai chi cannot take the place of professional medical treatment, it is very beneficial for people with health conditions like Parkinson’s, hypertension, arthritis, back pain, respiratory and digestive disorders, MS, fibromyalgia, diabetes and other chronic health disorders. Tai chi can also aid in the recovery of injuries, stroke, heart attack or surgery.
Our trainers will design an appropriate exercise program that meets the needs of the class. For more information about bringing the Tai Chi/Chi Kung Exercise Class to your location, Go to the Information Form.
