Regular exercise is a major component of managing diabetes. The other components are diet and medication along with meditation to help manage stress.
When a person exercises their body it becomes more sensitive to insulin making it work more efficiently. During exercise, cells use a totally different process to remove sugar from the blood. Exercising daily can lower blood glucose and improve A1C. If A1C is lowered, the person may need to take less medication. Physical exercise is also important for overall well being and can help manage many other health conditions.
